Carlei Janice

She is here!! We love her so much already! She is just the perfect baby! She weighed in at 6lbs 14oz, 17.5in. long. Whitney and Carlei both had the same size head when they were both born...13.25in. Here are some pictures of our wonderful new addition!

One big happy family!!!

Ok so I am just going to document the event. You can stop reading at anytime.

Justin and I were suppose to go to the hospital on Thursday, July 28th. The hospital called and said that they didn't have enough room for me to be induced that day. They scheduled us for Friday morning. Friday morning rolls around and they have room for us to come in so I can be induced. We show up and get all of the paper work filled out and signed, and get to my room. To my surprise, I have the same nurse that helped me when I delivered Whitney! Her name is Barbara and she is absolutely the best labor and delivery nurse ever! I get all dressed in my lovely gown and the doctor comes in. He checks me and I am dilated to 3cm and 70% effaced. He breaks my water and then I get my pit. started at 8:10am. By 11:50am, I am having regular contractions and back labor! How awesome...not. I call Barbara in and she checks me and I am 6cm and then I get my epidural finished at 12:15pm. Then at 1:40ish I was ready to push! The doctor was paged and he showed up about 5 minutes later. After 3 contractions, Carlei was born. She had the cord wrapped around her neck once and her cord was really short. Justin got to cut the cord again. Then they cleaned her up and handed her to me. She was perfect. The placenta was completely intact and healthy.

Whitney did not want anything to do with Carlei when she first met her but the next day when she came to the hospital and she just loved her! She kept giving her kisses and hugs. She loves to hold her and give Carlei her pacifier. We love having Carlei as part of our family! She is just lovely.

Carousel Ride, the Slide and the Swing

Dinner at the Park

Our neighbors and good friends asked us if we wanted to have dinner together tonight. We said sure. The plan was to walk to The Nipa Hut and then eat at the park. We walked the 4 blocks to The Nipa Hut, mind you have to use the restroom like CRAZY, when we get there, they are closed. So we decided to walk back one block and eat at Gator Jacks. When we came up to the first restaurant on our way back, I ran in and used the restroom. I always take my wedding ring off when I wash my hands and I forgot it on the bathroom sink. Luckily, it was still there when I ran back in. We go to Gator Jacks and get our food and then we head to the park.I wanted Whitney to ride the carousel that they have at the park, so Justin said that he would ride it with her. She might have made it around once before she started to cry and freak out. Good thing that it was only a buck!  It was a very lovely picnic and we all had a great time. Unfortunately, I am not very good at taking pictures of the food or anything else except for Whitney! Sorry...

Park Visit #1

Back on June 4th, Rexburg actually had a nice day so we decided to head to the park. We live close enough to walk (and it gives me exercise :) ) so we did. We took Whitney's baby doll stroller and her baby and she had a blast! She takes after her mommy when it comes to playing with dolls.

Going further away with her baby!

She a determined little one!

Dad to the rescue!

She just keeps on going...

33 weeks and Good News!

I went to the Dr last Friday for my check up. Everything was GREAT! I get to start going every 2 weeks now. At my next appointment I will be 35 weeks. I can hardly wait. I am almost done and then sweet Carlei will be here. My Dr told me that he would induce me at 39 weeks again! I am so excited! That means I could have her as early as July 28! I was very excited about that news. Justin and I have not 'settled' on a date yet. I am kinda hoping that she decides to come when she is ready. It just has to be before or on August 4th. Justin and my family are leaving on a week long hike starting August 8th. I know, my dad is taking him along on the annual hike right after I have a baby! I am really excited for him to go though. He deserves to have fun too! I am so ready to be done being pregnant. I am really looking forward to being able to breathe and not having everything so squished! I am also looking forward into fitting into my normal clothes so then I don't feel so frumpy anymore! I will post pictures of my belly next time!
